The School wishes to appoint two Lecturers in Clinical Skills to contribute to course management, course delivery and course development in this area and to undertake related research and knowledge transfer activities.
Working within a committed and enthusiastic team you will focus primarily on programmes in the School of Medicine including the MBBS, Physician associate undergraduate and postgraduate courses, the accelerated BSc (Hons) Medical Sciences and the Foundation Medical Sciences. The overall purpose of the role is to make a significant contribution to the academic development, course management, teaching, research development and knowledge transfer activities within the School, particularly in relation to the teaching of clinical skills across the School’s provision.
You will hold a professional healthcare qualification and a recognised teaching qualification would be desirable. Clinical skills teaching experience within a clinical or educational environment is essential and experience in assessing clinical skills would be desirable. You will have experience of working within Professional Body requirements
You must possess excellent communication and presentation skills; have an ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and independently; and the ability to pursue your own research.
You will have a commitment to continued professional development and of the University’s strategy and values.
