Today we are one of the UK’s largest universities with a staff and student community approaching 38,000. Our employment-focused course portfolio with over 350 undergraduate programmes, nearly 200+ postgraduate courses and rich array of CPD courses means we offer our students the skills and experience that industry needs. We have a long and successful history of giving our students an outstanding experience, enriched by real-world, practical learning opportunities and our second-to-none support services.

We are now seeking an exceptional individual to transform the University’s approach to timetabling. Working collaboratively with stakeholders, you will provide strategic leadership to the timetabling function, developing and leading new approaches through consideration of space utilisation and resource management to improve efficiency and student experience. You will also lead on student engagement analytics, identifying data trends to inform strategies relating to retention and progression, managing the University’s learner analytics tool and playing a key role in the development and implementation of the early intervention framework.

This position is key to the successful delivery of the University’s objectives, and you will bring a strong track record of leadership in timetabling and data analysis within a large and complex higher education institution. In this role, you will be a member of the Registry Leadership Team and must have the professional expertise and credibility to negotiate, influence and operate effectively at all levels, including the Vice Chancellor’s Group, Deans, Directors of Services, and external organisations.
