The purpose of this role is to support the Events Team in the delivery of corporate and student recruitment events and activities; meeting University outcomes and student recruitment targets. Engaging with internal and external stakeholders is key to the role along with excellent organisation skills and event planning. The role will include: logistical support for on and off campus events and activities; maintenance of databases, website content and University systems; dealing with internal and external customers over the telephone and in person; copywriting, editing and proof reading skills with good attention to detail; and the ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads.

Recent experience of working within an office environment and proficiency with office-based systems is essential, along with time spent working in a customer-facing environment. It is desirable that you have experience of working in event organisation or marketing/sales. Be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or have equivalent experiential learning. You will have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to demonstrate your first-class organisational skills.

This role would suit an individual with experience working in event/project management support, who is self-motivated, with the ability to manage busy workloads. The applicant must have a detailed understanding and experience of using Office IT applications/packages. This role requires flexibility as evening and weekend work will be required to deliver events.

Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview. This position is based in Preston. At the start of this role, home working will be required, with the aim that we will move back to working on campus when possible. IT equipment will be provided where required for home working.
