The School of Medicine wishes to appoint a Clinical Lecturer (Pathophysiology) to join our enthusiastic and committed team. This position is based on the Preston Campus, is part-time at two days or 4 sessions per week. The postholder needs to be able to respond to the needs of the timetable, and flexibility is required depending on the week in the academic year. The timetable is known in advance for the whole academic year.

The post holder would be part of the ISCM (Integrated Science and Clinical Medicine) Team and contribute to teaching and curriculum development across both MBBS and Physician Associate programmes.

The post holder will work with work within the ISCM team to ensure the clinical correlates and relevance is embedded with the teaching and assessment of the basic sciences. This will require integration across multiple disciplines (anatomy, physiology, microbiology etc) to best prepare students.

Applicants will have substantial experience of working as a medical practitioner within a clinical setting and will have membership of the appropriate professional bodies, including registration with the GMC.

Experience of lecturing, assessment and excellent IT, organisational and communication skills are essential.
