We are seeking to appoint an experienced medical educator to augment the University of Central Lancashire's School of Medicine and Dentistry’s team at Westlakes Campus in Whitehaven. This is a new role and the post-holder’s primary functions will be to offer leadership, supervision and support to our academic staff and to local clinicians who contribute to the delivery of our programmes and to ensure that our students’ feedback is effectively sought, heard and acted upon.
The successful applicant will be an experienced clinician holding full registration with the GMC and will have experience of teaching medical students and excellent communication and presentation skills. Substantial experience of the School's medical programmes would be an advantage. The successful applicant will work one day a week (flexible and to be agreed on appointment). Although the post will be based at Westlakes campus occasional travel to other University sites and to partner trusts may be required.
