Entry Requirements

A Levels or IB or recognised foundation

Kenya Diploma with awarded by Kenya National Examinations Council with a grade of 60% or above
Standard English language entry requirements – IELTS 6.0  or equivalent or KCSE grades 1-6 (A-C)
Masters Minimum 2:2 in bachelor degree from a recognised institution Standard English language entry requirements – IELTS 6.5  or equivalent or KCSE grades 1-6

If your academic and/or English language qualifications are not sufficient to allow for direct entry to one of our undergraduate or postgraduate taught programmes, you may wish to consider one of our Undergraduate or Master Foundation Programmes, offered at UCLan by ONCampus. Successful completion of this programme can guarantee entry to a wide range of programmes at UCLan.

The University of Central Lancashire has a wide range of Scholarships and Bursaries available for international students. Below are the criteria for the award of the Merit and Excellence Scholarship.

  Undergraduate Postgraduate Taught
Merit Scholarship criteria BBB profile – 120 UCAS Points or Kenya Diploma with a grade of 65% 2:1 (60% and above)
Excellence Scholarship criteria AAB profile – 136 UCAS Points or Kenya Diploma with a grade of 75% 1st Class (70% or above)

Please note that these scholarships are not available for MBBS programme; distance learning programmes, Pre-Sessional Programmes or Postgraduate Research Programmes.
