Z's self defence academy
The course includes: Personal Safety Tips, Street Awareness, Risk Analysis, Theory on Self Defence and Physical Training.
Each student will get a folder packed with info and resources along with a certificate and personal safety alarm. The course is split between 50% theory and 50% practical but is embedded with empowering content to support participants to feel more secure in their own skin.
The aim being to create a healthier mindset that allows them to move from a place of fear to a place of strength both physically and emotionally.
This course is being funded by an external agency, whose focus is on supporting women from the Burnley/Pendle area.
We can take referral for women from Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale areas only but if you are interested and wish to be considered for future events please contact wellbeing@uclan.ac.uk
