Join Karen Beach at this free public talk, where she discusses some of the household items that can be very dangerous for your cats and dogs.

Lots of people share food with their pets. You may give scraps of meat to your cat or be forced to pay the “cheese tax” to your dog, but there are lots of things our furry friends shouldn't eat.

This lecture will explain the idea of poisons and why some things that are good for us, are bad for our pets.

Speaker Karen Beech will cover some of the most common household items that are poisonous for cats and dogs, how they affect the animal, and how to spot the signs that they have eaten something they shouldn’t.

As an experienced veterinary nurse, Karen will also cover what you should do as an owner to keep your pets as happy and healthy as possible.

Our free public lectures are held each month to ignite discussion and share interesting ideas and knowledge with everyone.

Whether you’re a student, professional, or simply a curious person, our lectures are designed to be accessible and enjoyable for everyone
