How far should political rights of free speech and public protest tolerate intolerance?

The Annual Seminar of the Society of Legal Scholars 2024 will bring together distinguished academics, practitioners and policymakers from human rights organisations and social media platforms, in an age of increased hate, to explore the balance between political rights and extremism, with a view to identifying appropriate balances to be drawn between individual and collective free speech and illegitimate expression, in modern liberal democracies.
