Celebrating 18 years of inception, the One in four film festival is back!

Organised by volunteers form the Comensus collective under the banner of World Mental Health Day, the 18th edition of The One in Four Festival continues to bring together UCLan students, staff, and community to highlight mental health conditions through the power of film. By doing so, the festival aims to foster open dialogue and dismantle the stigma associated with mental health.

The festival will host two screenings in early October that are open to everyone. During these screenings, films centred around mental health themes will be showcased, followed by engaging audience discussions on the topics presented.

Monday, 9 October : 5.30pm - 8.00pm BST

"Marvellous" (2014) depicts the remarkable life of Neil Baldwin, a man who defied perceived limitations to lead an extraordinary life.

Wednesday, 11 October: 1.30pm - 4.00pm BST

The Father (2020) following a man who refuses all assistance from his daughter as he ages. As he grapples with his changing circumstances, he begins question his loved ones, his own mind and even the fabric of his reality.
