Excel Intermediate Masterclass for Apprentices and Mentors in Lancashire SME's
This course is for people who already use Microsoft Excel and can create basic formulae, copy, paste and format data. It will help you effectively use and manage data, and present it to appeal to a range of audiences.
The LEAP Excel Intermediate course is a helpful next step to help you take advantage of more of the functions it has to offer.
This fully funded* half day course will introduce you to functions to help you extract, interpret and summarise data. On this course you will Extract data from a list using lookup functions depending on the Excel version you use - you will explore Unique, Hstack, Vstack functions Create Pivot tables (and use formulae within pivot tables)
We will share hints and tips on working with detailed and complex information that will help save you precious work time. Easily extracting relevant information will help you save time on repetitious data entry and avoid data entry errors that can be tricky to find and correct by using formulae such as Vlookup and Xlookup.
You will also learn how to present data in a range of appealing ways using pivot tables. The Lancashire Engaging Apprentices Programme (LEAP) is designed to maximise the impact of apprenticeships in Lancashire SMEs through fully funded* learning and development events, coaching, and training.
We provide additional, complementary, and targeted opportunities to enable apprentices, their mentors, and the SME organisation to get the most from their apprenticeship investment.
*To be eligible participants must be: Aged 16 or over Eligible to live and work in the UK Employed within a Lancashire-based(1) SME (2) An apprentice, or mentoring, managing or working in a role supporting apprentices, or aspiring to develop the skills to do so
1 ‘Lancashire’ means based in a Lancashire County Council, Blackburn with Darwen or Blackpool postcode area.
2 An SME (Small, Medium Enterprise) is an enterprise with less than 250 employees, turnover less than 50 million Euros or balance sheet total of less than 43 million Euros
As an ESF-funded project, there is some paperwork to complete to evidence that you’re eligible, but a member of the LEAP Team will be able to support you to complete this.
