This course will help you effectively use and manage data, and present it to appeal to a range of audiences.

If you already use Microsoft Excel and can create basic formulae, copy, paste and format data, the LEAP Excel Intermediate course is a helpful next step to help you take advantage of more of the functions it has to offer. This fully funded half-day course will introduce you to functions to help you extract, interpret and summarise data.

In this course, you will:

  • Extract data from a list using lookup functions
  • Create Pivot tables (and use formulae within pivot tables)
  • And depending on the Excel version you use - you will explore Unique, Hstack, Vstack functions

We will share hints and tips on working with detailed and complex information that will help save you precious work time. Easily extracting relevant information will help you save time on repetitious data entry and avoid data entry errors that can be tricky to find and correct by using formulae such as Vlookup and Xlookup. Then learn how to present data in a range of appealing ways using pivot tables.

The Lancashire Engaging Apprentices Programme (LEAP) is designed to maximise the impact of apprenticeships in Lancashire SMEs through fully funded* learning and development events, coaching, and training. We provide additional, complementary, and targeted opportunities to enable apprentices, their mentors, and the SME organisation to get the most from their apprenticeship investment.
