Centre for SME Development: Developing sustainable futures for SMEs registration - Tuesday 26 January
Join us at this masterclass, where we will provide a model of strategy for SME leaders and an introduction to foresight learning.
For those grappling with the concept of life after Covid-19 and a future that just one year ago was unimaginable, this masterclass, delivered by Professor Jeff Gold will provide a model of strategy for SME leaders and an introduction to foresight learning.
SMEs in the UK are facing a significant future of uncertainty which is likely to continue for several months and the impact could last years. Certainly, the Covid-19 Epidemic is resulting in new ways of living and working. This dynamic will continue to unfold. The anticipation of the future will play an important role in the safeguarding and improvement of organisations. SME Leaders must become aware of the key trends and patterns that are having an impact on the direction they are taking and their assumptions that are preventing progress. They must then develop a strategy to provide clarity of direction, but also review the strategy on a continuous basis
We define Futures and Foresight as:
The interdisciplinary discovery and study of predictable, probable, possible, plausible, preferable and creatable long-term futures.
