Full job description

As an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor, you will work alongside experienced professionals within our company to gain hands-on experience and essential skills in the field of quantity surveying. This apprenticeship program is designed to provide comprehensive training and support for individuals looking to kick-start their career in the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

  •  Provide support to both quantity surveyors and commercial manager with measurement and valuation of works undertaken on each project.
  • Preparation of monthly applications for payment & ensure that payments are received within agreed timescales.
  • Assessing and preparation of variation estimates inclusive of additional works and delay analysis.
  • Manage contract retentions and chase outstanding payments.
  • Learn to negotiate and liaise with suppliers, contractors, and clients on pricing and contractual matters.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to quantity surveying activities.
  • Provide general assistance for the successful management and commercial function of each project as required.

Considerations

Working pattern:

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. Hours may vary according to business needs.
