Course overview
This module addresses a range of issues related to pain management in patient care. Key themes in the module are physiology of pain; pain classification; psycho-social responses to pain; service-user and carer perspectives; pain assessment; pharmacology/pharmacokinetics; non-pharmacological methods of pain management; practical pain management skills.
