This course is unique as it is the only online MSc Digital Marketing Communications course delivered at a UK university.

The online delivery of the course provides the opportunity for you to study without being bound to a location.

Digital Marketing is an area that is constantly evolving and growing, there is an industry requirement for well qualified individuals in this field.

Our innovative course aims to provide you with leading-edge knowledge and skills in Digital and Social Media Marketing. This course provides you with both digital and creative skills that can enhance their future career prospects

The flexibility of the course allows you to exit early through PGCert, PGDip, with the option of re-joining the future.

Our course primarily focuses on skills required to take on a specialist role in Digital Marketing in a variety of organisations.

Entry Requirements

UK honours degree or its international equivalent (at least Lower Second Class)

Or professional qualification deemed to be honours degree (2ii) equivalent

For students where English is not their first language or where their degree has not been studied in the English language, a score of at least 6.5 on IELTS (or equivalent) is required.

Applications from individuals with non-standard qualifications, relevant business work or life experience and who can demonstrate the ability to cope with and benefit from masters-level studies are welcome and these applicants will be interviewed.

This intensive 12-month programme offers you a range of key benefits, each of which will contribute to your development into an effective Digital Marketing professional. Providing you with the opportunity to study for a PG Certificate, PG Diploma or Msc.

The course will allow you to apply the latest Digital and Social Media knowledge and skills to various types of businesses in industry.

This online course is delivered via online lectures/workshops, discussions, videos, online module learning materials accessed through Blackboard.

Prior to the course starting you will be invited to an online induction event, where you will meet with the staff team and your fellow students, explore the online learning environment and gain an insight into the learning resources available to you at the University.

Learning Environment and Assessment

The online learning environment is based on an online platform, where you can connect and attend sessions from anywhere in the world.  The online platform is ideal to deliver both lectures and interactive workshops, providing opportunity for you to listen to lectures and engage in discussions. During the course you will be exposed to a range of teaching and learning strategies.

The overall assessment strategy for the programme is 100% coursework. There are NO exams. The course will deliver modules in Digital and Social Media marketing, Digital strategy, Analytics these will be assessed using variety of assessment methods. These will range from projects, reports, portfolio and presentations. Learning is further supported by the University library and other student resources.

For the final semester of the course you will have a choice of either a research dissertation or project. The research dissertation assesses how well learners can use cognitive and intellectual skills and complete a rigorous research study. The project is usually based in a company where the student is employed. During the project you can apply the knowledge/skills gained in the course both strategically and tactically.

The course is delivered by academics with industry experience and are specialists in their fields.

Graduate careers

This is a new course, however, previous students whom have been taught Digital Marketing within the School of Business and Enterprise have gained successful employment in the sector.
