Who is the Assistant Practitioner Degree Apprenticeship course for?

This course is for healthcare workers who want to progress their career to become an Assistant Practitioner (AP). You must work within the health and social care sector to study this Degree Apprenticeship.

Assistant Practitioners (APs) are healthcare professionals who work alongside registered healthcare professionals. They work to provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals.

What you'll do

Future careers and job role

As an Assistant Practitioner you will assist in total patient assessment and coordinate care. You'll perform clinical, diagnostic, and therapeutic activities. APs work in various settings. This includes rehabilitation, radiography and community mental health.

Information for employers

An apprentice is employed to do a real job while studying for a formal qualification, usually for one day a week at one of our campuses or training centres.

This course meets Apprenticeship Standards and your apprentice will have the knowledge and skills to either succeed in their chosen career or progress to the next apprenticeship level.
