England Handball Level 1 Short Course

The Handball Coaching Level 1 Award is aimed at coaches in a club or team environment. It gives a basic knowledge and leads onto the level 2 qualification.

START DATE: Saturday 24th November & Sunday 9th December 2018 (both dates must be completed) 9.00 - 5.00pm Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre

Entry Requirements:

Learners must be 16 years old or over.

Course Content

  • The ‘who’, ‘what’ and ‘how’ of coaching players.
  • The movements, skills, and techniques required to play handball
  • How to coach and develop movements and skills
  • Basics of tactics, technique and officiating

The coach tutors, assessors and verifiers are fully trained and accredited to deliver the best quality course and learning environment as is possible for each candidate.

We have strong links with a large number of sports organisations, including public and private sector providers, professional teams and clubs including Wigan Warriors RLFC, Preston North End FC and Preston City Council.
