Remember to log your hours
A little reminder to log your volunteering hours. If you do, you could be eligible for the following recognition and awards:
- Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum Awards, and the prestigious Vice Chancellors Award of Excellence
- ILM Recognition Award in Volunteering
- Your volunteering activity and student achievement also appears on your Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR). This document accompanies your Degree certificate.
Higher Education Volunteering fund
The Higher Education Volunteering fund (HEV) offers grants of up to £500 for UCLan students to deliver their own projects in the local community.
We would need students to work with community organisations to develop funding applications and manage the project if the application is successful.
Check out our HEV funding application form for more information.
In October, CVCL collaborated with the Careers team to host a Careers, Jobs and Volunteering Fair - and what a success it was! Over 300 of you came along and chatted to a range of different community groups and charities.
In February 2024, we will be teaming up with the Careers team again to host a Public Services and Social Work Careers and Volunteering Fair.

UCLan's Paramedic team are delivering a simulated practice placement experience for the 1st year students and require volunteers to play the role of the service user throughout January 2024.
