UK Partners
The University of Central Lancashire was the first in the sector to franchise Higher Education courses to Further Education Colleges with a view to widening access to higher education. The network was established in 1985 and as such has celebrated over 30 years of Partnership activity.
Our UK Partnerships were originally based within the North West region, and whilst this remains the focus for the majority of the business, our number of Partner Institutions and the diversity of the Partnership has grown in recent years.
To date, the University Partnership is one of the largest networks in the country, in terms of the number of students and the number of partnerships,
We have links with 20 further education colleges and specialist training organisations who deliver a wide range of courses, allowing students to study locally for their higher education award. All our partners meet the University’s high-quality standard and Quality Assurance Agency standards.
