Healthy future for business following digital support

Challenge

Lancashire-based Healthy Leaders works with businesses across the UK, inspiring entrepreneurs and business leaders to improve productivity and performance within their organisations by making positive changes to culture, health and wellbeing.

A combination of consultancy and advisory, the company was set up 18 months ago as an extension of the work done by Founder and Owner Philip Dyer through business growth consultancy nxo, which he established 20 years ago.

Healthy Leaders has two main objectives: the first, to be recognised as a go-to provider of health and wellbeing advice and have business leaders aspiring to be recognised as ‘Healthy Leaders’, in the same vein as Investors of People. The second is to have an extensive range of partners who specialise in the company’s four main areas of focus - culture, mental health, physical health and nutrition - to support the wider business objective of reaching and servicing UK SMEs and international markets.

But, with no website in place to signpost potential clients or partners to, Healthy Leaders was lacking a vital marketing tool.

Solution

In order to achieve its objectives and enable the business to grow, Healthy Leaders approached Digital First, a team of digital specialists and students from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) which helps SMEs promote and achieve growth through a range of digital tools and tactics.

Led by Daniel Livingstone, Project Manager, the Digital First ERDF team embarked upon a five-month programme of support, leading to the development of a brand-new website. Philip produced the content, while the Digital First team provided technical expertise and skills, creating a modern, fresh platform through which Healthy Leaders can increase awareness of its services to its target audiences.

Benefits

The new website is an important tool to direct potential clients to, providing a key overview of the services on offer and how they can have a positive impact on businesses, putting them in a better position to be able to achieve their own goals. Philip and his team now have a vital marketing asset which is the foundation of the company’s overall strategy.

Philip Dyer said: “The Digital First team were great, I couldn’t fault them at all. They showed great support, commitment and enthusiasm and had a very clear understanding of what I wanted to achieve. I would absolutely recommend them to other businesses looking for similar support.

“Without the website in place, there was a significant reliance upon me to show what Healthy Leaders is and how it can lead to positive changes for businesses and their leaders. Now, I can make an initial introduction, direct people to the website and go from there.”
