Digital support signals success for TES

Challenge

Leyland-based TES Communications Solutions provides a range of radio services to businesses, including radio network design, supply and integration, maintenance, facility management and repair workshops, in addition to design, consultancy and training.

The company was formed in 1991 and employs approximately 40 people. Its main objective is to establish itself as the partner of choice for radio systems users, through the provision of the most technically suitable solutions, maintaining unrivalled technical knowledge and trading with the highest ethical standards.

Solution

In order to grow the business and achieve its objective, TES approached Digital First, a team of digital specialists and students from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) which helps promote and achieve growth through a range of digital tools and tactics.

The Digital First team, led by Daniel Livingstone, Project Manager, devised a five-month programme of support. Because the TES team found the content management system behind its existing website difficult to use, the focus of the support was to rebuild the website on a WordPress platform, while maintaining a consistent appearance to existing and potential customers.

Benefits

Completion of the development work resulted in staff members being able to update the website quickly while optimising content became much easier, meaning the performance of the overall site was boosted.

In addition to the creation of the new website, Digital First provided the TES team with training and advice ensuring they were fully equipped with the knowledge required to maintain the website, along with broader strategic expertise and insight to help support the company’s main objective of establishing itself as the go-to service provider in its field.

Keith Edwards, Managing Director at TES, said: “Digital First’s support has been invaluable to us, as growing our business will be highly dependent on our digital strategy. The whole process has been very straightforward, and we are benefitting from outstanding support.

Besides helping us promote our business online, this support will have a direct bearing on our recruitment in the coming months and years.”
