Digital support helps transform Tranco’s website

Challenge

Preston-based Tranco Limited provides services in relation to the management of structural alterations, including diamond floor sawing, diamond drilling, concrete cutting, soft strip demolition and temporary works. In order to grow and attract more commercial clients, the business wanted a sophisticated, professional looking mobile responsive website, that would be a more effective platform on which to showcase its services.

Solution

In stepped Digital First, a team of digital specialists and students from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) which helps promote and achieve growth through a range of digital tools and tactics.

Following a social media interaction, the team identified Tranco as being a business which could benefit from its services, which also led to the discovery that the business was working on the University’s new multi-faith and spirituality centre, Oasis. Furthermore, Darren Penn, Tranco’s Director, was a mature student at UCLan approaching the last few months of his degree in Project Management.

From there, the Digital First team, led by Daniel Livingstone, Project Manager, embarked upon a four-month programme of support to create a new responsive website, which would work across a range of devices, including mobiles and tablets.

Benefits

The project resulted in a website which is much more effective in promoting the services Tranco has to offer and has helped increase the number of people visiting the site.

Darren Penn, Director at Tranco, said: “Digital First has given expert advice and guidance every step of the way. The website reflects what our company is about, what we have achieved and really showcases our unique selling points and how we give added value to our clients. All the team are dedicated, thoughtful of our time and so helpful.”
