Digital support helps Geminus shine

Challenge

Preston-based Geminus Design has been helping businesses grow and thrive for almost ten years, through the provision of services including brand design and corporate identity, exhibition displays, vehicle signage, flyers, email marketing campaigns, advertising assets and promotional literature.

Although the business has an established client base, Founder and Director Lisa Wilkinson was reluctant to direct potential customers to the existing website as it was difficult for her to update the portfolio, meaning the content was outdated and not an accurate representation of the company’s offer.

Solution

In order to make the website modern and functional, Lisa contacted Digital First, a team of digital specialists and students from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) which helps promote and achieve growth through a range of digital tools and tactics.

The Digital First team, led by Daniel Livingstone, Project Manager, began a two-month programme of support, focused on redeveloping the existing Geminus Design website and transferring it over to a WordPress platform. The team imparted its technical knowledge and expertise, helping to refresh the content to best showcase the company’s designs, while Lisa worked in partnership and provided the necessary graphics.

Benefits

The result was a website that Lisa can be proud to signpost people to, which is easy to update and promotes the range of design services available from Geminus Design; meaning prospective clients are more likely to get in touch to find out how the company can help them to grow their own business, and therefore enable Geminus Design to achieve growth.

Lisa Wilkinson, Director at Geminus Design, said: “Being a small creative business, I pride myself on offering great design and customer service to all my clients. Working on my business always seems to take second place but when the Digital First team said they could design and build me a new website that would make it easier for me to upload my images, I was thrilled.

“I would like to thank the whole team, I am extremely grateful and would recommend, and have already done so on numerous occasions.”
