Degree Apprenticeships

The University of Central Lancashire is a leading university for professional, degree apprenticeships – providing a new work-based route to degree level education.

Degree apprenticeships are a new Government-led initiative that takes higher education into the apprenticeships market for the first time. UCLan’s new professional degree level apprenticeships are vocational degree programmes which allow people to enhance their employability skills and progress their career prospects, by combining academic study with practical work experience.

Digital Marketer, Level 6 - BA (Hons) Digital Marketing (New for 2019)
Digital and Technology Solutions Professional, Level 6
Healthcare Assistant Practitioner, Level 5  (FdSc (Hons) Assistant Practitioner (Degree Apprenticeship)
BA (Hons) Business Management (Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship)
Executive MBA (Senior Leader Master’s, Level 7)
Manufacturing Engineer, Level 6 (Mechanical Engineer) (New for 2018, UCLan course details to follow)
There are several courses dependent on the approval of the apprenticeship standards by the Institute of Apprenticeships.  We offer a bespoke route for applicants with an HNC Engineering or an Apprenticeship in Engineering.  If you study the modules over 3 years, you will qualify with BEng Mechanical Engineering degree, aligned to the apprenticeship standard.  Professional accreditation of the course is currently under discussion at national level.
