Aaron Briggs studied BA (Hons) Sports Coaching and graduated in 2008. Benefitting from the work experience available to him at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), Aaron was working part-time with Preston North End’s first team in his final year, when he was offered a full-time contract after graduating.
Some come to university with an exact of with a specific career path in mind, whereas for others university can provide direction on what they want to do in life. Rosie is in the latter: she has a passion, but undecided in what would be the best way to purse it. With a passion for the written word and impressed by the calibre of the linguistic academics, Rosie chose to study English Language and Literature at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).
After securing a first-class degree in International Hospitality Management, Kelly-Marie Staunton has landed an exciting role as a trainee manager for the global hotel giant Marriott, in China.
Previously working as a supervisor at The Daffodil Hotel and Spa in Ambleside, an executive lounge host at the Hilton Hotel on Manchester’s Deansgate and a front desk agent at Blackpool’s Hilton Hotel simultaneously, Kelly-Marie worked seven days a week whilst studying at University.
Jason Thelwell used his degree in BSc (Hons) Fire Engineering Management which he was awarded to him by the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) to climb through the ranks of the Fire and Rescue Service. Jason was recently awarded the Queen's Fire Service Medal in the recent New Year's Honours List. He describes the honour as “a fantastic opportunity for my family and for my service.”
