Whitendale Hall

Whitendale Hall is owned by the University and is in a prime location on campus.  University accommodation is highly recommended for all students, particularly if you are in your first year of study.  Many students stay with us for all years of study and take advantage of all the benefits we have to offer.

Whitendale Hall is one of our larger halls and comprises fifty Premium Standard flats and thirty-eight Economy Standard flats, accommodating four or five students in each.  There is an enclosed landscaped courtyard area outside the hall.

PEMIUM STANDARD

Refurbished in 2017, each Premium Standard flat has a bright and modern shared kitchen and lounge area, which is well equipped with a breakfast bar and stools, cooker, fridges, freezers, microwave, kettle, toaster and plenty of cupboard space.  The lounge area has comfortable seating, a coffee table and a wall-mounted Smart TV (license paid for TV in communal area only).  There is also one bathroom, one shower room and one separate W/C, consisting of two showers, one bath and two toilets.

Please note, four of the Premium Standard flats are disability adapted, with one of the bedrooms having an en-suite, therefore there is only one W/C and one bathroom in these flats as they are shared between three instead of four.

All bedrooms are modern and of a good size, featuring a bed, two large notice boards, study desk and chair, chest of drawers, wardrobe, waste bin, wash basin and mirror.

ECONOMY STANDARD

The Economy Standard rooms are excellent value for money.  Each flat has a communal kitchen, which is well equipped with a breakfast bar and chairs, cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and plenty of cupboard space.  There is also one bathroom and one W/C, consisting of one shower, one bath and two toilets.

All bedrooms are modern and of a good size, featuring a bed, two large notice boards, study desk and chair, chest of drawers, wardrobe, waste bin, wash basin and mirror.

LOCATION

You can enjoy the facilities provide within Harrington Social Space, which is located on your doorstep, and features a pool table, table tennis and dining facilities.
