Derwent Hall comprises 16 flats accommodating five or six people in each. It is one of the smaller halls on the UCLan Campus.
Derwent is situated on the corner of Adelphi Street and Victoria Street and shares a garden courtyard with Douglas Hall. The Hall is ideally placed at the North of the Campus and students have only a short walk to other University buildings, including the brand new Harrington Social Space, which features a pool table, table tennis, dining facilities and more. Residents have access to a launderette, which is ideally only a couple of minutes away.
Students benefit from 24-hour CCTV protection and patrolling UCLan security officers based in Harrington Building.
An on-site Residences Team, whose office is ideally located close to the hall, manages Derwent Hall. Click on the ‘Residences Team’ page to find out more about what the team do.
Each flat has a communal kitchen, which is well equipped with a dining table and chairs, cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and plenty of cupboard space. There are also two bathrooms consisting of 2 showers, 1 bath and 2 toilets.
All bedrooms are modern and large, featuring two large notice boards, study desk and chair, chest of drawers, wardrobe, waste bin, sink, mirror and vanity unit.
