There is a selection of good quality accommodation based close to our Burnley Campus buildings.
Sandygate is a brand new hall of residence, due to open in September 2020. The hall is owned by Burnley Borough Council, with the University providing the day-to-day services.
Sandygate has 136 en-suite bedrooms, within 29 flats. Most flats have 4/5 bedrooms, but a small number have 3 rooms. The hall is priced at £119.98 per week, and contracts are either 42 weeks (UK Students) or 42 weeks and 4 nights (EU and International Students).
Each flat has a communal kitchen, which is well-equipped with a dining table and chairs, cooker, fridges, freezers, microwave, kettle, toaster and plenty of cupboard space.
There is a student hub social area, which features flexible working space and comfortable seating and a flat screen TV.
All bedrooms are modern and of a good size, featuring a small double bed, notice boards, study desk and chair, chest of drawers, wardrobe, waste bin. Each en-suite has a personal shower, wash basin and toilet.
There is a large public square outside the hall.
The Hall is located on the canal bank, and is approximately a 1 minute walk to UCLan’s Victoria Mill campus in Burnley, over a footbridge. UCLan’s Princess Way campus is a 10 minute walk from the hall of residence.
If you would prefer to live in a shared house or an apartment, the University manages a registration scheme for private landlords in Burnley. Accommodation staff have inspected these properties and the landlords must abide by the requirements of our scheme. Therefore, we recommend that you look for off campus accommodation that is registered with UCLan.
