Wendy Osborne

Wendy joined UCLan in March 2019 having worked in the NHS since 1997. Her clinical experience initially focused on cardiology, coronary care, high dependency and intensive care and in these roles she developed an interest in how research pathways complimented clinical pathways.

Wendy teaches across the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year modules and is currently trying to finish her MSc dissertation.

In 2006 Wendy changed direction (still within the NHS) and began working as a Cardiac Research Sister initially in Scotland then subsequently in Manchester. She went on to manage research portfolio's in different specialities and her last post in the NHS (from July 2014) was Lead research Nurse at a large Trust in Greater Manchester. At the start of 2019 Wendy decided to pursue a career in acadaemia.
