Pete is an Animation Director, , designer and film maker using animation and live action . He has worked in the Film industry for over 25 years . Founded the Film Garage in London and has previously worked for several years at Passion Pictures and now works from his studio The Shop , down in London. He has created TV channel branding [ amongst others for Discovery , Disney , Hallmark , MTV America , MTV Asia , Channel [V] , RUV ] and directed both animated commercials [ Coca Cola ,Duracell , Sanatogen ,Time Out ], videos for Tom Verlaine ,Was Not Was, Pete Shelley and has directed three animated tv series Captain Star [co-created with Steven Appleby and Frank Cottrell-Boyce ] , Spheriks and Bromwell High. Currently developing a new series Nootopia with his fellow creatives from Captain Star . Also worked often with Steven writing cartoon strips for The Guardian and FAZ. Recent work includes animated sections of As I AM the DJAM US documentary ,Christian Aid online and CBBC eco-interstitials development.

Pete is a part time lecturer for the Animation BA and engages with all years , driving Contextual Studies in year 1 and 2, covering a wide range of animation related subjects and the TV Series Bible project and Final film project in Year 3

Judge at several Film Festivals, in Europe [including Annecy ,HAFF , Madeira amongst others ] and Asia. One of 200 industry professionals regularly judging PROMAX/Broadcast Design Awards in Asia ,NZ and Europe. Visiting lecturer since 2015 at UAL St Martins on MA Animation course and occasional Visiting lecturer on Animation course at RCA London .Guest lecturer University of the West Indies and University of Iceland
