In her current role Donna is course leader for the Nursing Associate Programme. Donna is involved in the recruitment and retention of students on this programme. She also teaches on various modules across the programme.
Donna has worked in NHS services since July 2000 in healthcare support roles, In 2009 she graduated from UCLan having completed a Diploma HE Adult Nursing. Having worked in a combination of settings including community, general surgery, medicine and genito-urinary medicine (GUM. Her most recent role was as a clinical educator within an NHS trust. Donna went on to complete a BSc (Hons) followed by an MSc in Sexual Health Practice. Donna was asked to guest lecturer from 2014 at UCLan as an ad hoc lecturer on the family planning and reproductive healthcare module and on the BSc (Hons) Sexual Health Practice. Donna commenced as a full time member of the health and social care team in January 2017 where she supported Assistant Practitioners. In April 2019 Donna joined the school of Nursing and primarily teaches, supports and is course leader for the Nursing Associate Programme.
