Cally teaches across a range of modules on the BSc Adult Nursing Programme.
Cally is involved with both the teaching element of the BSc Adult Nursing Course and also as an Academic Assessor for practice placements. She is also the Quality Assurance Circuit Coordinator for South & West localities.
Cally qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1991 before moving into community nursing soon after. She gained experience as both a Practice Nurse and a District Nurse before undertaking the BSc (Hons) Nurse Practitioner degree at Lancaster University. Cally then relocated to Sydney, Australia in 1999 to work as a Nurse Practitioner. After returning back to the UK, she completed her LLB (Hons) Law degree and worked for a short time in a law firm, before qualifying as a Health Visitor in 2002. After many years experience in this field, later specialising in safeguarding, Cally joined UCLan in 2019 as a Lecturer in Adult Nursing.
