Uzbek student Nazokat Nazarova feels that making new friends from all over the world is the best part of the summer school experience.
The 21 year-old said: “I have only positive memories about the UK. I have a lot of friends which I made on the course despite the fact I was only there for two weeks. I often meet my friends from Uzbekistan and speak to the others on Facebook.”
“I got to spend a lot of time and have fun with my new friends. We all lived like one big family.”
Nazokat currently studies Foreign Economy and Area Studies in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and came to the summer school to improve her English and explore the country she had always wanted to visit.
“I came to the summer school because it was a chance to improve my English and it has always been my dream to see the UK, a country which I've heard and read about so much.”
“It was something of a life experience for me. To study in a place where nobody can understand Uzbek, where you have no choice but to use English when you want to ask somebody something or you want to explain something.”
During the two weeks Nazokat got to visit Old Trafford, the home of her favourite football team Manchester United, and has praised the teachers at the Language Academy for their efforts in helping the students enjoy their summer in the UK.
“I think it is not easy to work with students from so many different countries yet in spite of this teachers were very friendly, understanding, tolerant and polite.
“The summer school was fantastic and unforgettable and a very useful experience in my life.”
