Min Zhong graduated with a first class degree from the BA(Hons) Media Management course in 2011. She was also the winner of the prize for best dissertation awarded by School of Journalism and Media because of her organised approach and excellent execution of her final year digital project, Unsigned Acts / Preston.
Since graduating Min Zhong has been working as a project coordinator at China’s leading industrial design and innovation firm, S.point Design.
Reflecting on her time at UCLan, she said:
“The School of Journalism and Media has strong links with industry and this helped a lot in terms of gaining those practical skills and theoretical knowledge that are essential for a future career. Teaching was linked with practice, guest speakers from the industry are invited to talk about what is happening in the real world and we were encouraged to think about what we should do with those issues as people who will be tapping into such a fast-changing industry, which was really fantastic.
“I think my experience at UCLan definitely helped me to get where I am now, especially in a competitive job market like Shanghai where practical skills and work experience are so important.”
