"I chose to study the MA Sports Management as well as the MSc Marketing Management at UCLan because I found the subjects interesting. Following graduation, I stayed in London for a short while and then went back home to Brazil where I lectured Marketing for a year at a local university. I also worked as marketing director for a advertising agency, but I am now doing another Masters in Cognitive Psychology while also being the marketing director of a business park. Amongst these projects, I will also soon start up a non-governmental organisation called BRAIN - Brazilian Institute of Neo Marketing. My current position includes being responsible for all marketing activities for the business centre such as coordinating a group of professionals from PR, advertising and Journalism and developing the annual strategic marketing planning.
I remember UCLan as a pleasant environment to study in and recall my graduation ceremony being a very special moment. I was given the CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) Award for the 'Best Marketing Masters Student 2005' during my graduation ceremony in Preston. As a result of this, I recently started a personal blog on marketing where I publish articles and research on consumer behaviour. In spite of this professional success, my biggest achievement remains to have made friends I have managed to keep in touch with. I would advise students to go ahead and to persevere and to try to do something to make this world a better place. Without my degrees I couldn’t have done half of what I’m achieving today."
