Graphics student wins Roses Student Award

Year 3 BA (Hons) Graphic Design student Reece Hacking has just been nominated as the overall winner in the Roses Student Awards 2015 for his solution to the Caran D’ache centenary brief.

To celebrate their centenary Reece created a digital colouring book app – called Colour Plus which allows the user to turn photographs taken on their mobile into a colouring in book. Once the user has taken an image they can then either colour the image in digitally using an online Caran D’ache palette or they can run the image out and colour it in using actual Caran D’ache pencils. Either way the user ends up with their own unique artwork that they can then order via the app to be delivered as a bespoke book.

Reece is currently on a placement year in industry returning in September for his final year.
