Danielle McLoughlin is working as Head of Legal and Compliance for a technology company after graduating with a LLB (Hons) Law from the University of Central Lancashire.
Danielle always felt destined to pursue a career in law. "Looking back, even from a young age, I would weigh up the numerous factors and possible outcomes when making a decision on anything. That, and watching a few too many legal movies meant that choosing to study law was an obvious choice for me.
After graduating with a LLB (Hons) Law, Danielle focused on getting as much legal experience as she could. As well as working full-time, Danielle studied for a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice. She explains: "Anyone else who has studied alongside working full-time will tell you that it is very challenging, particularly when you’re working to professional and academic deadlines daily, but there is also a great sense of achievement at the end of it."
Danielle’s hard work and passion paid off and she’s now working as Head of Legal and Compliance for a tech company. This comes after working in several senior legal roles since graduating from UCLan.

In terms of advice for those hoping to study at the University, whether it be law or otherwise, Danielle says: "Go for it and enjoy it! If you are studying law with a view to a career in it, get as much legal experience as you can as soon as you can, it is invaluable.
"In respect of studying generally, give it your all whilst also making sure you make time for fun. You make so many memories at University and it’s over before you know it so make the most of it."
Talking about her lasting memories at UCLan, Danielle said: "My lasting memories are times spent with friends I met whilst studying the law degree, whether that be the nights out at the Students' Union or the constant phone calls back and forth about coursework and exams!
