Guangdong University of Foreign Studies

The UCLan-GDUFS Awards ceremony took place on 25 June, on their North Campus.  This awards ceremony saw diplomates graduate from the cooperative programmes in International Business Communication, International Business and International Journalism.  Prof Robin Pollard, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, officiated at the event and Neil Carlin of the British Consulate-General, Guangzhou attended the event.  Over 160 students graduated, and the event was well attended by graduates and their families.


Shanghai University of International Business and Economics

The Awards Ceremony for students graduating from the collaborative programme in English for International Business was held on 26 June at the SUIBE Songjiang Campus.  Prof Robin Pollard, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President Chen Jie of SUIBE officiated at the event, which was well attended by students, families and friends who had the pleasure of seeing the results of all their hard work.  

These partnerships have been in place for over 20 years and have been at the heart of our international strategy in China.  Over 200 students progress from these partners to UCLan Preston to undertake their final honours year.  In addition to student exchange, there is also regular staff exchange between the two institutions and UCLan students have also benefited from overseas visits to the partners under the Travel Bursary Scheme.
