BSc(Hons) Construction Project Management

I was encouraged to study at UCLan because of the reputation of the university and the success of previous students. I was also motivated by the assistance provided by UCLan and Yabatech to pursue a course of study at the university. I enjoy the way and manner the modules are organised, the access to online resources is undisruptive and the tutor/student relationship is excellent and worth emulating.

It was very easy to settle into life at the university. I received emails before departure about how to make my trip to the university and settle to life at UCLan. Getting accommodation is easy here in UCLan as we have university-owned and private registered accommodation all in close proximity to the campus.

The support at UCLan is incredible. The well-equipped university library is open 24 hours. The facilities and resources available in the university is impeccable and of world class standard. The issue of health and safety is addressed throughout the operations of the university. I enjoyed the aid provided through safety bus at the library to convey me home at night. Wiser also helped a great deal in assisting to peruse my assignment before submission.

My advice for new and prospective students is adequate planning and preparation before coming to UCLan. Ensure you are aware of the details of your course in terms of the timing, calendar and cost implication of the study as stipulated by UK Border Agency and work towards its attainment within the specified period.

My plans after graduation are to migrate to PhD via M.Phil. route in Construction Project Management here at UCLan and privately study to gain full professional status of internationally recognised professional bodies like the Chartered Institute of Building and the Higher Education Academy. I hope to return to my country as an accomplished scholar and contribute my skills and expert
