Armed Forces Friendly University

Armed Forces Friendly University

Why UCLan?

We have a history of developing armed forces personnel and offer a vast range of flexible courses that can be studied full or part-time, at Foundation, Degree and up to Master’s level. Our courses cover subjects ranging from sport to business, computing to nursing, engineering to policing. We proudly support serving and ex-military personnel and their families in developing skills and knowledge, in turn enhancing employability.

Both UCLan and The College for Military Veterans and Emergency Services (CMVES) have achieved an Armed Forces Covenant Silver award and national acclaim for helping service members resettle. It is a professional service giving specialist advice to personnel from people with first-hand military experience. We aim to provide a full support service; from settling people into university, course funding, suitable training, careers advice and making the step into civilian life.

Whether you are still serving or have been resettled, you might be entitled to full or partial funding for an undergraduate or master’s degree.

For more information on how to apply for funding visit the ELCAS website and reference our provider ID = 1275.

If your chosen course doesn’t appear on the list of ELCAS approved courses, please contact the Student Fees and Funding Team SFFTeam@uclan.ac.uk or telephone 01772 892440.

Please forward your Claim Authorisation Note (CAN) to the team to ensure your Enhanced Learning Credits are applied to your tuition fee account.
