INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS
The School of Journalism, Language and Communication (JLC) at the University of Central Lancashire is delighted to offer scholarship opportunities for new, fee paying students commencing a full-time, postgraduate taught programme in the subjects (specified below) in September 2016.
The scholarships available are:
MA Intercultural Business Communication (IBC)
MA I & T (German)
MA Interpreting and Translation (I & T) (Arabic)
MA International Journalism (IJ)
MA Sports Journalism
The scholarships are awarded in the form of a reduction in the tuition fee for one year. The student is responsible for the payment of the remainder of the tuition fee and living expenses for their period of study.
Awards are to the value specified above for each programme for the duration of the postgraduate programme of study and can be utilised in addition to the Vice Chancellor Award (£1,500) and any relevant country bursary (£1,000). The number of awards and eligibility criteria are detailed on the website. Please note that EU students will NOT be able to claim thins award in conjunction with an alumni discount.
Applications that are unsuccessful for the UCLan JLC Scholarship scheme are still eligible to receive any other bursaries, as appropriate, in the form of a reduction in the tuition fee.
Candidates for the UCLan JLC Scholarship Scheme must complete the application form and questionnaire (see below).
All applications will be assessed with consideration to the following: overall presentation; originality of thought; fluency in communication of ideas; evidence of motivation for study; ability to succeed and contribute to university life.

Deadline for receipt of applications is: 8th July 2016
Successful applicants will be notified no later than four weeks after the application deadline.
Applicants must be holding an unconditional offer by 8th July 2016
