Halls of Residence - at a glance
On your application form, you will state whether you would like en-suite or standard accommodation. Accommodation is allocated by Accommodation Services on a first come, first served basis. This chart is to give you a brief overview of the accommodation we provide. As an alternative to University accommmodation, it is possible for new students to live in privately registered halls or houses.

The University has in the region of 2000 accommodation places in halls of residence for first year students. The Halls listed here are either owned directly by the University or leased by UCLan and are located within, or very close by, the heart of the main campus.
Each hall is self-catering and prices include all fuel and water bills. There is free Internet access in all University owned and leased accommodation. In all of our standard cluster flat rooms and in Roeburn and IQ Kopa you can link to the internet via the UCLan network lite scheme.
Television
In line with the UK Digital switchover, rooms in UCLan Halls of Residence television aerial points are not supported for television services. Therefore, televisions and set-top boxes are unlikely to work in Halls of Residence rooms. To connect to television channels on your laptop or pc in in the halls of residence you will need to install a piece of software onto your computer. Every bedroom in our accommodation also has a study desk and chair, chest of drawers, wardrobe, wash hand basin, whilst Roeburn Hall and University Leased Halls are fully en-suite in every bedroom. There are also adapted rooms in the halls for those students with disabilities.
Recycling facilities and bicycle racks are provided throughout campus, and every resident has 24 hour access to University security.
