Mentee Information (the person receiving the support)

We know University life can be difficult at times and we know not everyone likes admitting they need help. If you want fantastic mentoring support from the people who know best, your fellow students, then register as a Student Mentee and get the support you need, tailored to you. Student Mentoring isn't just for new students, you can get support no matter what year of study you are in.

Our trained Student Mentors will meet mentees on a one to one basis either weekly or fortnightly, whatever works best for you. You can talk to them in confidence and if they can't help, they can help you find someone that will.

Student Mentors can offer support with every aspect of your student experience from making friends and settling in to accompanying you to the UCLan gym and clubs and societies.

How can a Student Mentor Help me?

  • Listen to your needs
  • Increase your confidence
  • Relieve anxieties
  • Signpost you to relevant services/someone who can help
  • Help you make friends
  • Help you adjust and adapt to University life
  • Accompany you to a club/society or perhaps the gym
  • And much more. . .
