Sue is a senior lecturer in Sport Business Management teaching undergraduate and post graduate modules in managing people and professional development in sport. She is an active researcher and has published in a number of peer reviewed academic journals on graduate employability and careers, and managing change in elite sport. She is also a co- author of the Routledge textbook: ‘Human Resource Management in the Sport and Leisure Industry’. Sue is a community director/board member for Burnley Leisure Trust.

Sue is research active within the area of sport and exercise science and is a member of the International Research Institute for Sport Studies along with being a Fellow of the HE Academy.

Full Profile

Sue is a senior lecturer in Sport Business Management at the University of Central Lancashire and teaches undergraduate and post graduate modules in managing people and professional development in sport. She has worked in Higher Education for 23 years, prior to that she spent five years working in sports facilities management in the public sector. Between 2002 and 2005 Sue was seconded to work with the Regional Development Agency, Advantage West Midlands, as Cluster Innovation Manager to enhance links between HE and the leisure industry.

Sue is an active researcher and has publisher in a number of peer reviewed academic journals on graduate employability and careers, and managing change in elite sport. She is also a co- author of the Routledge textbook: ‘Human Resource Management in the Sport and Leisure Industry’. Sue is actively involved in the sport industry and is a community director/board member for Burnley Leisure Trust.
