Sue joined UCLan in June 2017 after many years of working in further education as a lecturer, teacher trainer and curriculum manager.
Sue is a Senior Lecturer in the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching. Sue works as a member of the programme leadership team for the UCLan Teacher Education Partnership – a partnership of 15 colleges across the North West region delivering a full range of nationally recognised teacher education programmes. Prior to joining UCLan she was a lecturer in teacher training at Myerscough College.
Sue has taught in a range of settings including primary, secondary education in Ghana, offender learning and both further and higher education. Sue worked in curriculum management roles in offender learning and FE for over ten years. Sue has extensive experience of quality assurance and is an Ofsted inspector.
Sue’s main responsibility is programme development for the Certificate in Education and PGCE, and training and staff development for teacher education teams in the UCLan partnership.
Sue is an Ofsted inspector for the Further Education and Skills sector.
