Rob is a chartered Physiotherapist and Sports Rehabilitator and currently splits his teaching between the second year BSc Hons Strength and Conditioning course and BSc Hons Physiotherapy delivering first year modules as well as examining second and third year Physiotherapy students whilst on clinical placements. As well as the clinical manual therapy techniques he employs, he has always been heavily involved with strength and conditioning in both injury rehabilitation/prehabilitation and in general and sports specific exercise prescription.
As well as Rob's working 0.5 role at UCLan, he has a private physiotherapy clinic based in Preston, and is the lead physiotherapist for the British Wrestling Association.
Rob has provided physiotherapy for Great Britain in many world championships for numerous Olympic sports including GB Wrestling, GB Swimming, GB Cycling and Rob represented Team GB in London 2012. He also provided physiotherapy representing Team England in Delhi 2010 and Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Rob wrote opinion based articles for a multisport combat magazine called Fighting Fit, and is currently midway through an MSc in Manual Therapy at Manchester Met University. Rob has also invented and developed the MyoBl8de Myofascial release tool.
