Nicola qualified as a physiotherapist from the University of Manchester in 1997 and since then has worked in a number of NHS Trusts and private healthcare settings. She started work at UCLan in 2015 as a research assistant in the area of public health for allied health professionals. Since 2016 Nicola has been working as a research assistant in clinical/medical devices.

Nicola is research active within the area of biomechanics and rehabilitation and is a member of the Allied Health Professions Research Unit.

Throughout her clinical career Nicola has worked in several NHS Trusts in a range of specialisms including cardiac rehabilitation and care of the elderly as well as medicine and neurology.

Alongside her work at UCLan, Nicola carries a small clinical case load as a private practitioner treating clients with neurological impairments and mobility problems.
