Projects

UCLan/Age UK Wigan Borough

Project lead for joint collaboration between UCLan and Age UK Wigan Borough with the School of Management.  Work closely across schools and with AGEUKWB to develop a multi-functional and multi-generational hybrid space within Wigan town centre designed at profit generation from both retail sales and community outreach.  Worked with course team to develop a number of student led projects and research designed at directly contributing towards the outputs from this project.

Burnley Council

Project lead on the development of a strategic report based on the future direction of Burnley Market.   Managed the student led research process from third year undergraduates whilst maintaining close links with external client. 

Teaching Activities and Responsibilities

Module leader for first year undergraduate modules; Retail Marketing and Understanding the Retail Consumer.  Module leader for second year undergraduate module; Retail Strategic Analysis and Tools.  Module leader for third year undergraduate modules; Management Report, Exploring Retail Strategy and Management Analysis Project.  All modules put the overall employability of the student and the heart of both teaching and assessment with all students gaining the opportunity to work with external companies, providing solutions to real world problems.

Academic advisor for first and third year undergraduate students on Business and Management.  Supervisor for various Dissertations and Management Reports.  

Ongoing retail projects with major charity retailers and shopping centres.
