Full Profile

Med, PGCE, BSc (Hons) RNT, RSCN, RGN

Martin has an interest in Problem Based Learning (PBL) which is used as a method of learning within a variety of modules within the pre registration (child branch) and post registration curriculum. He has attended and presented at an International Conference on PBL and OSCEs.

Martin’s vast clinical experience in children’s nursing enables him to link the theory to clinical practice extremely effectively, bringing ‘real’ clinical issues into the classroom. His teaching and learning interest centres around High Dependency and Intensive Care nursing, and the clinical intervention within children’s nursing. He has a particular interest in children's resuscitation, which he incorporates into his teaching sessions where possible.

He is the module leader for a variety of modules (both pre registration and post registration). Marin contributes to a wide range of clinical skills teaching including basic life support, managing violence and aggression and breakaway techniques and moving and handling within both CFP and child branch.
